RECORD BROKEN: 17-Year Old Kenyan Breaks Usain Bolt’s 100m World Record

Renny Merumi, a 17-year old student of Timbila High School, Taita Taveta County in Kenya has broken Usain Bolt’s 100m World record of 9:58 seconds set in 2009 at Berlin.

Renny completed the 100m race in a record breaking time of 9:17 seconds and sports panelists have gone “dumb” as they are short of words to describe the young athlete.

This was recorded in the Country’s inter-regional athletic games.

Usain Bolt would have a tough time in subsequent competitions as his best time of 9:58 seconds set in 2009 in Berlin is no where near the new record set by Renny.

Renny was billed to take part in the just ended Rio 2016 Olympics but dropped out on health grounds.
